While Canmore is a growing small town, there are some fantastic options that we are sure you will love!
Best Canmore Brewery
Canmore Brewing
Canmore Brewing has become a local hub in recent years and is founded on true east coast values. This brewing company makes a real effort to support a community feel and share in the fun with the people of Canmore and visitors. Not unlike nearly everyone who comes to Canmore, the great outdoors matter, whether embracing climbing, mountain biking, skiing or trail running communities. Pop in the brewery at the right time, and you may get a live concert; what better way to celebrate a good day of getting after it in Canmore?
Be sure to ask for one of their gold medal-winning brews! Then shift to a seasonal special. You can’t go wrong at Canmore Brewing! And how cute is this shot – who doesn’t love a Bernese Mountain Dog as a mascot!?! Rory (the dog) loves himself a Canmore Brewing Cider!

Best Canmore Distillery
Wild Life Distillery (WLD)
Wild Life Distillery was founded and owned by locals Matt Widmer and Keith Robinson. These guys are great. Two buddies had an idea to build out a top-notch distillery in the Bow Valley. They have been doing so well that they recently took over a much larger space to serve their customers and distribution network better. Well done, guys! A local business story done well – they are taking off!
If you have ever been to the Rundle Bar at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, you may have already seen and enjoyed the Rundle Bar Gin; it has a purple hue thanks to the butterfly pea flowers, which are infused into the gin. It’s incredible! Keep an eye out for their canned cocktails. These will be a hit!
Pop into the distillery’s tasting room for a drink with friends. It’s got a great feel – so welcoming.
This is a great brand video that the guys produced. It gives you a good sense of their ethos:

Bonus: Best Wine Store
Cellar Door Wine
Do you want to grab a drink with friends but feel like staying home, enjoying the BBQ, and looking out over the mountains? Cellar Door is a fantastic destination for a curated selection of beer, spirits and some of our favourite wines. Eric and Alison do an excellent job sourcing some excellent wines, no matter the occasion. Also, they do a great job telling the story of the wine markers, which brings to life the varietal and region. Their wine and beer monthly subscriptions offer an endless selection of introductions, including meal suggestions to best suit the experience.
